Description For this project, we needed to come up with solutions to world problems. In our group (Eliza Roesler, Aaron Simon, and Dean Kidder-Buell) We thought that a good world problem to solve was drought, because it is a problem that we are currently facing, and that most of the world is facing. For this project, we needed to have a slideshow showing information that we have learned about the world problem, and a prototype that was the solution to the problem. below is our slide show:
below our fog catcher, and how it works;
How a fog catcher works: 1. place fog catcher outside where fog frequently gathers 2. wait overnight, and see if fog catcher works.
Engineering design and build cycle: 1. identify the need 2.Research the problem 3.develop possible solutions 4.Select most promising solution 5.construct the prototype 6.Test and evaluate prototype 7.communicate the design 8.redesign 9.repeat
Reflection: Overall, I thought that this project was good, but I felt like my group could have worked better together. I think that I worked really well when everyone in the group was focused, and then I would work better. I felt like there was no leader in the group, and that there were only a few people who who would really work on the project. this ended up not being good, because of this, our project was not as good as I thought it could have been.
